One of the few known covers from the Expedition which does not bear the Blue Label. The only other unlabelled covers seen were sent by Sandy Irvine en route to Everest.
Cover from Yatung to Darjeeling, dated 25 July, probably enclosing a balance of Indian postage stamps held at the office in Tibet for use on Expedition members’ correspondence. The returning team passed through Yatung on 22 July.
