1924-25 Fund-raising at the Wembley Exhibition

As part of the ongoing attempt to raise funds for the Expedition, the Mount Everest Committee appointed the firm of Vitty & Seaborne to produce a total of 18 postcards featuring images from the 1921 and 1922 Expeditions. These were put on sale at the Indian Pavilion at the British Empire Exhibition held at Wembley from April 1924. They were also distributed in India by Thacker & Co.

The 18 cards were divided into 3 sets. Each set of six postcards was sold in a special envelope. A further set of 6 which were previously thought to have appeared later, were in fact produced for sale at the performances of Capt. Noel's first film, Climbing Mount Everest, in late 1922.
